This anthology screening showcases short films produced in Chicago, from the silent era to the present. Reflecting the diverse community of filmmakers working in the city, this program provides a look into Chicago’s rich media production history. The event venue is Essanay Studios, the former home of Essanay Film Manufacturing Company, a studio founded in 1907 and perhaps best known for its 1915 Chaplin comedies. The program features works from the Chicago Film Archives.
